FK Partizani snap up Nigerian left-back Alma Wakili

FK Partizani have completed the signing of Alma Wakili on a year deal from KF Shkëndija for an undisclosed fee.

In the January transfer window, Wakili signed a three-year contract with Shkëndija, and after spending half a season he has opted to move to the Albanian top-flight – in a deal that offers the option of another year extension.

The 21-year-old left wing-back, who started his professional career at Belgian outfit Eupen, played nine league games as Shkëndija claimed their second ever top-flight title last term.

Already this season, the Taraba-born player was involved in their unsuccessful Uefa Champions League push where they crashed out to Salzburg in the third qualifying round.

Wakili will start training with his new side on Tuesday and may be considered for a spot in Skenda Vega’s squad to face Kastrioti Krujë in their third Albanian SuperLiga encounter of the season on Saturday.

The Aspire Academy graduate should find transition quite easy with fellow countrymen Sodiq Atanda and Henry Okebugwu, alongside Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Mensah at the Selman Stërmasi Stadium outfit.
