The U.S. found another goal through a corner kick later in the first half when Chile defender Carla Guerrero diverted Julie Ertz’s near-post header over the line for an own goal.
On a night when she earned her 100th cap, Christen Press marked the occasion with a second-half goal when she got on the end of Mallory Pugh’s low cross at the back post.
