LIVE: Watford vs Tottenham

5′ Lucas is unable to find Kane with a backheel in the box, that would have been something special had it come off!

2′ Holebas plays an early lobbed through ball to Pereyra… but the latter made the run just a little too early and is called offside.

1′ Andre Marriner blows his whistle, and we’re underway from Vicarage Road!

Just seconds from the start here now!

If Watford win today, it would be just their second time ever starting a season with four consecutive wins. The last came in 1988… in the second tier!

The teams are now coming out of the tunnel! Not long to go until kick-off now! Which side will be able to extend their league winning streak to four?

The obvious absentee from this Tottenham team is Hugo Lloris who misses out with a leg injury. His replacement today, Michel Vorm, has started just six Premier League matches for the London club and has conceded in four of them. At the other end of the pitch, manager Mauricio Pochettino will hope Lucas can continue his blistering form which has seen him contribute towards eight goals (four goals, four assists) in his last eight starts for Spurs.

Pretty standard XI from Watford here today. Roberto Pereyra is finally showing the consistency and talent that Watford expected when they purchased him from Juventus in 2016. The Argentina international has scored three goals over the first three matches this season, 43% of the Hornets total thus far.

Tottenham (3-1-4-2): Michel Vorm; Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen; Mousa Dembele; Kieran Trippier, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli, Ben Davies; Lucas Moura, Harry Kane.

Watford (4-4-2): Ben Foster; Daryl Janmaat, Craig Cathcart, Christian Kabasele, Jose Holebas; Will Hughes, Etienne Capoue, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Roberto Pereyra; Troy Deeney, Andre Gray.

Now let’s look at the starting lineups for today’s match!

Despite the home side having won each of their first three matches this season, Tottenham will likely be the more confident of the two sides seeing as they have gone 12 straight without a loss to Watford (W8, D4).
