Manchester City are still odds on favourites for the Premier League title but Liverpool look set to give Pep Guardiola’s side plenty of competition this season according to the latest prices.
On the opening day of the new campaign City were 4/7 (1.57) to retain their domestic crown. Now though, despite taking 13 points from a possible 15, William Hill make the reigning champions 8/13 (1.62) with some firms as big as 8/11 (1.73).
The reason that price has drifted, despite a strong start has mostly been down to Liverpool’s form.

Tottenham are 16/1 (17.0) having tasted back-to-back league defeats for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign. There is as big as 33/1 (34.0) available and that seems much more realistic about a team that have made a faltering start to the season.
Manchester United have already lost two games and they’re available at 33/1 (34.0) in the outright betting despite a 2-1 win over Watford on Saturday evening.
