Cristiano Ronaldo has won the Best Men’s Award for the last three years, but looks like he – and former La Liga rival Messi – are absent for tonight’s festivities.
Messi was snubbed for the top-three of the Men’s Award which consists of Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah and Luka Modric.
Antoine Griezmann, Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe make up the rest of the longlist, though Modric is a clear frontrunner to pick up the award after captaining Croatia to the final of the World Cup as well as having a pivotal role in winning the Champions League with Real Madrid.
Also, Ronaldo missing out on the ceremony is a major hint that he won’t be picking up the award – he never usually shows up to award shows that he loses out on!
