Leicester comfortably saw off top-four challengers Arsenal in another superb performance from the Foxes at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
The game was played at a frantic pace and was eventually decided by two second-half Leicester goals courtesy of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison.
Leicester were thoroughly impressive once more, and Arsenal were typically poor from first minute to last.

Let’s rewind to the start…
The first real moment of controversy occurred only ten minutes in to a fast-paced encounter when Caglar Soyuncu felt he was pulled back in the box by Matteo Guendouzi. However, VAR seemed uninterested in giving Leicester a spot kick.
One replay was enough to see that that was a penalty on Soyuncu. Not given, of course, but they’ll spend 3 minutes playing with their silly offside lines to try and rule out goals. Weird.

That was clearly a penalty, Guendouzi pulled back Soyuncu. Why doesn’t the ref’s use the VAR pitchside monitors? Madness! #LEIARS #PremierLeague

The Foxes’ bright start continued with chances coming and going – it seemed only a matter of time before the deadlock would be broken.
If Leicester don’t take some of these chances Arsenal are gonna punish them

But it wasn’t to be for either side before the half-time whistle, with the game finely poised at 0-0 at the break.
The second half started at a frantic pace, Leicester almost going in front within minutes of the break when Wilfred Ndidi struck the crossbar.
Good build up play presents Ndidi with a glorious opportunity to put City 1-0 up early in the second half. Unfortunately, the Nigerian’s effort hits the woodwork and bounces clear.

Ndidi almost ended Emery’s managerial career

Arsenal thought they had snatched an opener when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang converted Sead Kolasinac’s cross, but the linesman raised his flag and rightly so.
Auba has the ball in the net… but it’s ruled offside
The linesman flagged that Aubameyang was offside – and the replays confirm that the initial decision was correct

Arsenal enjoying a bit more of the ball in this second half. Aubameyang has goal rightly ruled out for offside, Jonny Evans been booked for fouling Ozil.

This affair seemed far too lively to end goalless, and sure enough it didn’t. Leicester soon found the opening – deservedly so – and who else but Jamie Vardy?
Vardy loves goals ✔️
Great goal from Leicester

And soon enough, it was two…
Once Leicester get going they are unstoppable! what a move for Maddison to double their lead! #LEIARS

Maddison with stunning goals v Arsenal + Spurs now.

Leicester saw the game out with relative ease to pile more misery on Unai Emery and Arsenal, with their victory moving them back to third, and many were speculating about the inevitability of European football for the Foxes next year.
Can’t stress how good Leicester’s Englishmen are, get Vardy out of international retirement and let the Leicester boys run Europe 路♂️

What a top four this season: two of the best teams the PL has ever seen and then Leicester and Chelsea playing football you can’t take your eyes off.

I know the focus from this result is gonna be on Arsenal, their poor form, #EmeryIn, #EmeryOut, whatever.
But I’ll tell you what:
Leicester City look to be the absolute real deal this season.
And I really wouldn’t be surprised if they made the top four…#LEIARS

However, Arsenal weren’t going to be let off the hook, oh no. Unai Emery and his players received their fair share!
It really sucks that I can’t even enjoy watching any soccer these days because of how awful @Arsenal has been. It’s just depressing.

If Emery isn’t sacked by Monday morning I’m going to massively regret spending $50 on a ticket to the Brighton match & probably won’t buy a ticket for the Man City match. This is awful football to watch. If it’s this bad on TV, it has to be unbearable live. #LEIARS #AFC #Arsenal

Arsenal have been dreadful! Fuck knows how we are above spurs and United!

Hope we sack Emery when he’s doing his interview so he finds out live on TV like Gus Poyet

Dark, dark days for the Gunners. The only way is up…surely?
