Twitter Reacts as Leicester Ease to Victory Over Lifeless Arsenal

​Leicester comfortably saw off top-four challengers Arsenal in another superb performance from the Foxes at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The game was played at a frantic pace and was eventually decided by two second-half Leicester goals courtesy of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison.

Leicester were thoroughly impressive once more, and Arsenal were typically poor from first minute to last.

Let’s rewind to the start…

The first real moment of controversy occurred only ten minutes in to a fast-paced encounter when Caglar Soyuncu felt he was pulled back in the box by Matteo Guendouzi. However, VAR seemed uninterested in giving ​​Leicester a spot kick.

​​The ​Foxes’ bright start continued with chances coming and going – it seemed only a matter of time before the deadlock would be broken.

​​But it wasn’t to be for either side before the half-time whistle, with the game finely poised at 0-0 at the break.

The second half started at a frantic pace, Leicester almost going in front within minutes of the break when Wilfred Ndidi struck the crossbar.

​Arsenal thought they had snatched an opener when ​Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang converted Sead Kolasinac’s cross, but the linesman raised his flag and rightly so.


This affair seemed far too lively to end goalless, and sure enough it didn’t. Leicester soon found the opening – deservedly so – and who else but ​Jamie Vardy?

​​Leicester saw the game out with relative ease to pile more misery on Unai Emery and Arsenal, with their victory moving them back to third, and many were speculating about the inevitability of European football for the Foxes next year. 



However, Arsenal weren’t going to be let off the hook, oh no. Unai Emery and his players received their fair share!
