Juventus have decided not to take any action against superstar Cristiano Ronaldo following his strong reaction to being substituted in the win over AC Milan on Sunday.
The 34-year-old was withdrawn ten minutes into the second half, with Paulo Dybala coming on in his place. It would prove a crucial change as the Argentine broke the deadlock, scoring the all-important winner in the 77th-minute to earn his side a valuable three points.
However, Ronaldo was far from pleased when he saw his number come up, storming off the field. It has also been reported that he didn’t wait for his teammates after the match, instead opting to leave the Allianz Stadium before the 90 minutes were over.
Despite this, Goal have now reported that the Bianconeri will take no action against the former Real Madrid man.
Following the Italian giants’ win over Milan, manager Maurizio Sarri hailed Ronaldo for his desire to play despite struggling with a knee injury.
“In the last month he has had this discomfort in his knee and this is a little problem for him.”
The Portugal international was also recently substituted in his side’s Champions League
Ronaldo has netted five times and provided one assist from ten matches in Serie A this season, but he struggled to really influence the match on Sunday or the tussle with Lokomotiv a few days prior.
The Juventus number seven will now turn his attention towards his national team, where he is expected to feature for Portugal in their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifying matches against Lithuania and Luxembourg.
The captain is currently five goals away from reaching a century for the European champions and will be hoping to increase his tally in the upcoming fixtures, while also aiming to secure their place at next summer’s tournament where they will look to defend their title.
