Man Utd & Liverpool Among Premier League Giants Tracking West Brom Starlet Jovan Malcolm

Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are all thought to be tracking 16-year-old West Bromwich Albion striker Jovan Malcolm.

Already a core part of the Baggies’ Under-18 setup, Malcolm has scored six goals in his first ten appearances of the season, including firing a stunning four goals in the first half of Saturday’s 6-3 win over Liverpool.

According to MailOnline Sport, that form has attracted the interest of the four Premier League giants, who are set to closely follow his development over the coming months.

A versatile forward, Malcolm is comfortable on both wings and as a lone striker. This season, he has spent most of his time as a right winger, but has filled in everywhere across the front line.

Both Liverpool and United have made a significant effort to improve their youth sides. Jürgen Klopp’s side picked up both Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg during the summer, while United spent big to add Hannibal Mejbri from Monaco to line up alongside fellow new recruit Noam Emeran.

However, if the two sides do choose to launch a bid for Malcolm, they are expected to face interest from both Arsenal and City.

West Brom are now facing a real battle to hold on to the striker. They lost highly rated Louie Barry to Barcelona during the summer for just £235,000 in compensation, but the Baggies can expect to receive more than that for Malcolm if he continues his career in the Premier League.

Slaven Bilić’s side have fired their way to the top of the Championship this season, losing just once so far this season and there’s hope and expectation that their good form can earn promotion back to the top flight.

The Baggies hope that their impressive showings will be enough to convince Malcolm to continue his development at The Hawthorns, but are aware that it may not be easy to fend off interest from the Premier League’s elite.
