Braga vs Wolves Preview: Where to Watch, Live Stream, Kick Off Time & Team News

Wolverhampton Wanderers head to Braga on Thursday evening as they look to seal qualification for the last 32 of the Europa League at Estádio Municipal de Braga.

With the hosts currently leading proceedings in Group K, a point above their opposition, they will see this as an opportunity to lock in top spot with a victory.

Just a single point will be enough, however, to send Braga through, and if SK Slovan Bratislava fail to beat Besiktas in the other Group K fixture, both Wolves and their Portuguese opposition will gain a place in the next phase of the competition.

Bracerenses frustrated Wolves on the night, battling through with a single-goal lead in a heated affair which bore witness to five yellow cards.

Vengeance is on the agenda as the Wanderers will look to top group K with a victory on Thursday.

Recent Form

Braga are in a mid-table battle in the Primeira Liga with just a single point separating them in ninth and Vitória SC in fifth.

They have won six of their last eight fixtures in all competitions (D1 L1) and will be looking to add to their impressive six game unbeaten streak at home.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are also high on confidence, winning their last three games on the bounce, including a well-fought 2-1 victory away at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

Raúl Jiménez has scored in each of his last four matches and teammate João Moutinho has been in the headlines for his fantastic performances in recent weeks. Their link-up play could be the factor to make the difference against Braga.

Here is how both sides have fared in their last five games…

Braga Wolves
Braga 1-0 Gil Vicente (23/11) Bournemouth 1-2 Wolves (23/11)
Vitòria SC 0-2 Braga (10/11)                   Wolves 2-1 Aston Villa (10/11)
Braga 3-1 Besiktas (07/11) Wolves 1-0 Slovan Bratislava (07/11)
Braga 2-2 Famalicāo (03/11) Arsenal 1-1 Wolves (02/11)
Boavista 2-0 Braga (31/10) Aston Villa 2-1 Wolves (30/10)

Prediction

Braga only need a draw to secure qualification, whereas Wolves require a win. Braga, however, have been fantastic on home soil.

Neither side have struggled for goals this season, however, taking all factors into account, this is likely to be a low-scoring game.

Prediction: S.C. Braga 0-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers
