Jürgen Klopp Believes Three Successive Fixtures at Anfield Will Lift Liverpool’s Mood

Jürgen Klopp is delighted that Liverpool have three consecutive games at Anfield on the horizon amid a remarkably congested fixture list.

On Wednesday, the Reds host Napoli in their penultimate Champions League group match as they aim to seal qualification to the last 16 with a victory.

On Saturday, Liverpool will look to see off Brighton & Hove Albion at home to increase their lead at the top of the Premier League, before facing local rivals Everton in the Merseyside Derby next Wednesday.

Speaking before his side’s European clash, Klopp expressed his happiness at the run of home fixtures on the agenda.

“This morning I realised when I woke up that the next three games are home games and that pushed my mood massively actually,” he told Liverpool’s website. Not that I was in a bad mood, but now I’m really in a good mood, so that’s really cool.

Having three home fixtures on the bounce is great news for any team to gain momentum, but for Liverpool, a side notorious for their home success, this is the perfect opportunity to continue their near-perfect start to the season.
