However, Sport Witness have reported that there has been no bid from the Merseysiders for the 24-year-old after speaking to his agent Helmuth Weninng.

Borré supposedly has a €30m release clause and River Plate aren’t keen on letting their star forward leave the club – who most recently scored in the Copa Libertadores final which his side lost 2-1 to Flamengo.
Weninng has not denied that there is a lot of interest in the player, but hasn’t heard any offers from the Premier League.
“I’m not aware of this information,” he said, in relation to an apparent offer from Everton.

The agent claims there has been interest from clubs in Europe, Mexico, Brazil and the United States.
Borré has been linked with a move to England’s top tier in the past, recently being eyed up by Crystal Palace last March. However, with his displays becoming more and more impressive, his stock continues to rise.
The Colombian has scored seven goals in Argentina’s Superliga this season, having started only nine games, and his goal tally has got him noticed by a host of foreign clubs.

Everton are keen on bringing in a new striker in January, with Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin failing to provide a steady source of goals, and summer signing Moise Kean struggling to find his way in to Marco Silva’s side.
